Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce

LucidDogTraining News

Lucid Dog Training LLC is becoming a full-fledged member of the Lake Oswego Community.  This past week, Lucid joined the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce.  A startup small-business with two employees, Lucid consists of specialists in the communication and education professions.  Chris Wojda, a Lakeridge graduate, holds a BS in Communication and has spent a great part of his life studying dogs and dog behavior in the working dog world.  Katie Brower, formerly of Wisconsin, holds a BA in Education and an MEd in Adult Education/Instructional Design.  Together, they built Lucid around the notion that in order for the most effective training to happen,  humans need training first.  Once pet owners are empowered, reassured, and equipped with a set of tools in their toolbox, no pet problem is too big or too small.

Katie and Chris of Lucid Dog Training released the following statement:

“It all comes back to the “Teach a man to fish” parable.  If we come in, do all of the fishing, and leave, we haven’t done our job as educators; however, on the flip side, if Lucid comes in, discusses the problems with clients, and side-by-side teaches the clients how to correct those problems, we’ve created a sustainable, effective system.

Lucid has been working with Lake Oswego community members for months, but now, we’re making it official.  The people of LO are phenomenal, especially when it comes to training their dogs.  There’s no one-size-fits-all approach in a balanced training program, and our clients love understanding the why behind what we do.  With true understanding comes great results, and we are so excited to expand our business within Lake Oswego.”
